SteveSongs has been performing his unique brand of original songs for kids and their families since the late 1990s. His five albums have won numerous national awards, including two Parents' Choice Gold Awards, a Children's Music Web Best Audio Award, a NAPPA Honor and an iParenting Media Award. SteveSongs blends participatory songs, clever stories and great melodies into an experience that leads young listeners on what the Boston Globe calls "not just a musical journey but an entertaining, interactive and educational one." Lynne Heffley of the Los Angeles Times applauds SteveSongs' "warmth, gentle humor and well crafted, quirky wordplay." His songs are tested on and approved by the toughest audience on the planet - kids.
One of the hardest working performing artists in the children's music business, SteveSongs performs at hundreds of venues each year, and has developed a vast repertoire of family-friendly tunes. "It's kids' music that is cool," says Garth Ross, programmer for the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage in Washington, DC, where SteveSongs has been featured three times. In fact, kids of all ages respond to SteveSongs music in amazing ways. As the Hartford Courant noted recently, "It takes a different kind of rock star to convince more than 300 people-some in their 80s, some barely 3 - to stand up, jump up and down on one foot, stick one finger in their ear and hold their knee with the other hand. Steve Roslonek is that kind of rock star."
