Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Clint Abraham won the 275-pound title. Abraham pinned Buena's Julian Fergerson in the final. Colin Sasaki (112) and Dillon Brockert (215) had runners-up finishes. Royal — Travis Stewart (171) and Nate Hernandez (189) had third-place finishes. Simi Valley — Jon Hamm tied for third at 215 pounds. Chris Barr (135) tied for fifth. Hueneme — Geronimo Gonzalez (152) placed second. Aaron Rivas was third at 160 pounds. Rio Mesa — Paul Venegas was runner-up at 103 pounds. Matt Tao tied for third at 135 pounds. Buena — Mathew Lowe (130) tied for third. Westlake — Jason Villavisencio tied for third at 103 pounds. Santa Paula — Joseph Camacho tied for third at 215 pounds. Channel Islands — Ivan Calderon tied for third at 275 pounds.
Royal places 15th

Highlights: Royal — Aaron Vandriessche tied for third at 152 pounds. Diego Vargas (275) and Sergio Cortez (160) placed sixth and seventh, respectively.

Ventura's Barnes places 43rd
At Foot Locker West Regional, Mount San Antonio College, Saturday.
Highlights: Ventura — Michael Barnes was 43rd in the boys' seeded race in 15:51. Hueneme — Jose Alcantar was 57th in the boys' seeded race in 15:59. Thousand Oaks — Sean Gildea was 122nd in the boys' seeded race in 16:32. Kevin Joerger (16:47) was 10th in his boys' sophomore heat. La Reina — Sarah Pearson was 68th in the girls' seeded race in 19:23. Oak Park — Marissa Diehl was 15th in the girls' senior race in 19:47. Nordhoff — Catherine Hasbrouck placed second in her sophomore race in 18:41.
