Cultural Arts Center holds Beatles tribute

The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will present Ticket to Ride, a Beatles tribute band, at 8 p.m. at 3050 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

Cost is $22 adults, $20 seniors and students and $18 children 12 and under.

Pick-Your-Own Romas event planned

Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark will hold the Pick-Your-Own Romas from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday.

Participants are asked to take containers of equal size that will not hold over 50 pounds to make it easier for weighing. If they are all the same, Underwood will need to weigh only one.

Already picked Roma tomatoes are 40 cents per pound. These Romas must be ordered and prepaid. Allow one day notice for orders of 50 pounds or more.

Ventura Rheinland Club hosts dance

The International Friendship dance will be held by the Ventura Rheinland Club from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 36 S. Figueroa St.

There will be authentic German food, and music will be provided by the John Borowitz Band.

Dance Club announces event

The Thousand Oaks Dance Club will hold a dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Goebel Senior Adult Ballroom Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Music will be provided by The Aristicats.

Couples and singles welcome. Cost is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.

Harbor to present live music events

Ventura Harbor Village will present Rock on the Docks — Live Music on the Water from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 1583 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura.

Live entertainment will be provided by The Phantom Riders.

Ventura Harbor Village also will present Peace, Love & Fun in the Sun Music Festival from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday

Lighthouse to perform free concert

Eastminster Presbyterian Church will hold a free concert featuring Lighthouse at 7 p.m. The concert will be held outdoors under the tent at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 8180 Telephone Road, Ventura.

Free ice cream sundaes will be served during intermission.

Jass club gathering welcomes jammers

The West Coast Traditional Jass Club will meet for its monthly dance and jam session.

The club meets from 1 to 5 p.m. the first Sunday of each month at 6500 Casitas Pass Road, Ventura. Entrance to the property is on Highway 150, about three miles east of Highway 101. From there, follow signs up Rincon Mountain.

The club will supply barbecue pits, beans, salad and bread. Participants will supply their own protein and something to share with others. Newcomers and jammers are welcome. For more information, call Rooster Siple, 684-6494.

Citizens for Peaceful Resolutions to meet

Citizens for Peaceful Resolutions will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. at E.P. Foster Library's Topping Room, 651 E. Main St., Ventura.

Jon Block of The Union of Concerned Scientists will speak on "Why Nuclear Energy Is Not The Answer To Climate Change," and Das Williams of Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy will speak on "Economic Justice and Local Working Families."

Dudley to hold open house, quilt sale

The 1892 Dudley Historic House Museum will be open for a quilt sale and docent-led tours from 1 to 4 p.m.

Featured recorded music will be 1920s recordings from Chicago's South Side.

The museum is at Loma Vista Road and Ashwood Avenue. Admission is free.
