Morning Report: Hot and cloudy weather with chance of showers expected

Weather: Partly cloudy and hot conditions with chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected today, the National Weather service reported.
Forecasts show temperatures as high as 103 in valleys despite the cloud cover, while beaches are expected to remain in the mid 70 degree range.
Some parts of the county including the Conejo Grade were moistened by showers early this morning.
Temperatures in the triple digit range are still predicted to last through the holiday weekend.

Police and Fire: Last night and this morning were quiet and routine, law enforcement and fire officials said.

Traffic: At 6:46 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was reporting a non-injury accident on the W. Main Street onramp to Highway 101 northbound in Ventura.

HMMMMM...police report all was quiet...
Not so in West Simi with a police chopper running circles around Cochran/1st Street at 1am...Night Sun was in full effect...
Wonder what was going on?
