Fire heavily damages garage
Ventura County firefighters extinguished a garage fire Tuesday night in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
The fire was reported at a residence in the 200 block of Windrose Court at 10:54 p.m., fire officials said. Firefighters had squelched the blaze by 11:14 p.m.
No one was injured in the fire, although it caused extensive damage to the garage, said Capt. Barry Parker, spokesman for the Ventura County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation Wednesday, Parker said.
