Nickname: Raiders.
Coach: Jim Bittner (28th year, 181-107).
2006 record, league finish: 9-2, 6-1, second in WSC North.
2006 playoffs: Lost to El Camino, 31-29, in the first round of the Southern California regional playoffs.
Top returning players: WR/PR Conrad Meadows, DE Josh Douglas, OL Ryan Sorensen, OL Jeff Wurts, OL Brandon Sofley, OL Steven Josker, RB Shelton Banks, S Jeremiah Casella, S Wesley Beavers, S Wiston Juene, CB Sam Hollis, CB Anthony Evans, DL Sam Salanoa.
Promising newcomers: OL Garrett Nolan, TE Richie Accime, DL DeAndre Robinson, RB Nick Daniels, RB Maurice Funches, RB James Clay, RB Jeffrey Enayo, RB Marcus Hunt, WR Jerry Henry, WR Deskin Goodwin, K Nico Grasu.
Outlook: There is enough returning from last year's magical season to keep it going. Meadows, Douglas and Beavers are three playmakers bolstered by a solid offensive line and a powerful secondary. Bittner needs to find a quarterback who can get the ball to Meadows, sort through a great group of young running backs and rebuild his entire linebacking corps. Accime can present a new dimension at tight end and 6-7, 260-pound Salanoa will boost the defensive front.
Quote: "We take things week by week. If you don't, someone will sneak up and whip you real quick." — Douglas
