Two arrested in armed robbery
Two Ventura residents were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Montalvo early Friday morning.
Ventura police said that a woman entered the store at 6320 Bristol Road about 1:30 a.m., pointed a handgun at the lone clerk and demanded money. She fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.
Investigators later reviewed the store's surveillance video of the robbery.
On Friday around 3:30 p.m., Special Crimes Unit detectives saw a woman and man in the same neighborhood who matched the description of two people in the surveillance tapes.
Desirea Ferguson, 21, and Jeremy Seymour, 24, were arrested on suspicion of robbery after they were identified by the store clerk, police said.
The gun turned out to be a replica weapon, and no injuries occurred.
