Andersen competes in France event
Erik Andersen, a graduate of Royal High and Moorpark College, is one of the 63 Seattle riders and 640 Americans participating in the Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneur in France.
Randonneuring is a long-distance unsupported endurance cycling event. The style of riding is non-competitive in nature and self-sufficency is paramount.
Friday is the final day of the 745.6-mile event, which started on Monday.

Big Fun offers services for region
The Big Fun Therapy and Recreational Services will offer a program at Victory Gymnastics in Newbury Park.
The organization provides special needs children an opportunity to experience an active life filled with excitement, self-confidence, discovery and fun. Big Fun will have an open house on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Victory Gymnastics Academy, 2330 Teller Road, Newbury Park. Big Fun offers numerous programs throughout Southern California.
