Brooks Institute head has stepped down

The president of Brooks Institute of Photography, which has campuses in Ventura and Santa Barbara, has resigned.

Greg Strick, president of the private vocational school for four years, resigned last month to "pursue other opportunities," said Lynne Baker, vice president of communications for Career Education Corp., which owns Brooks.

Roger Andersen, vice president of operations, is serving as interim president, Baker said. Career Education has screened applications and is starting to schedule interviews, she said.

She could not say when a new president would be named.

Earlier this year, Brooks had its license renewed for five years.

The school offers programs in professional photography, visual communication, film and video production, and visual journalism.
