Man shot 3 times, expected to recover
A 47-year-old man was shot Wednesday in Oxnard but was expected to recover, police said.
James Jay Ryan of Oxnard was shot three times about 1:30 a.m. near Ivywood Drive and Ventura Road, Oxnard police reported.
The victim was treated at Ventura County Medical Center. His wounds did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
Police had not identified a suspect or possible motive as of Wednesday.

This is ridiculous! I live within blocks of where this incident took place. What's it gonna take to get Oxnard to become a civilized city once again?
