St. John's Medical Center closure schedule
Here are key dates in the plan to temporarily close St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. Plans to fumigate with chlorine dioxide still need state approval:
Wednesday: Emergency room closed.
Friday: Obstetric admissions stopped.
Tuesday: The hospital closes.
Thursday: The hospital is tented.
Friday: The hospital is fumigated. The medical office building is closed.
Aug. 18: After fumigation, the air is chemically cleaned.
Aug. 19: The tent is removed.
Aug. 20: The medical office building reopens.
Aug. 23: State inspectors check out the hospital.
Aug. 24: Pending state approval, the hospital reopens.
