Sharon Osbourne's got 'Talent'

The show is called "America's Got Talent," but two-thirds of the judging panel for the NBC series' coming season will hail from outside the United States' borders.

NBC has confirmed that Sharon Osbourne will take over for singer-actress Brandy as a judge for the show's second season, which opens May 29. She'll join new host Jerry Springer and returning judges David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan, who like Osbourne is a native of England.

"Sharon Osbourne is show business personified, and she has seen and done it all," says Craig Plestis, NBC's head of alternative programming. "She will make an excellent fit with David and Piers, who we're delighted to have back for another great season."

Executive producer Simon Cowell also is glad to have Ozzy's wife aboard: "On this show," he says, "it just had to be Sharon Osbourne."
