Highlights: Ventura Christen Guzman pitched two complete-game shutouts, allowing just five hits over two games, and the Lady Pirates notched 12 extra-base hits on the day to complete the sweep. Sara Araiza, Sharrice Garcia and Nicole Stiger all homered in thefirst game. Stiger finished with four RBIs, while Garcia drove in a pair of runs. Sliger also went 3 for 3 in the second game, with a triple and four RBIs. Nicole Godina had a triple, single and two RBIs.

At Moorpark

Highlights: Moorpark Amy Pilkington relieved in the second inning, and recorded a career-high nine strikeouts, including six in a row. At one point, she retired 16 consecutive batters. Cuesta Jaki Kohr pitched a no-hitter, while Sara Clinton tripled.

Highlights: Agoura Kim Green pitched a complete game, allowing two runs over five hits and a walk while striking out three. Casey Kaufman had two hits and scored twice while Julie Lewis had two hits with an RBI. Newbury Park Robyn Hammond's complete-game effort included nine strikeouts.

Highlights: Royal Kris Lesobsky went 4 for 4 with a double, home run, two runs scored and four RBIs. Britney Clifton went 1 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs. The win places Royal in sole possession of first place.

Highlights: Moorpark Pinch hitter Katie Strang hit the game-winning three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Megan Chrans and Kristine Priebe also had three RBIs. Simi Valley Samantha Fisher hit two home runs for four RBIs.

Records: Moorpark 10-8, 4-4 Marmonte League; Simi Valley 4-4 in league.

Highlights: Santa Paula Nianna Morris went 4 for 4 with three RBIs including a homer. Lizette Guzman went 2 for 3 with two runs.

Highlights: La Reina Gemma Ypparila went 4 for 5. Alex Morgan had three hits and Ellie Eubank had two RBIs and three stolen bases. St. Bonaventure Liz Fanning hit a solo shot in the sixth inning. Rian Rolls was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Highlights: Oxnard Jamal Smith won the 200 meters (23.03) and high jump (6-1). Bobby Lozoya won the 800 in 2:07.02 and the 300 in 44.96. The win places Oxnard in second place in their league.

Highlights: Cornerstone Christian Tyler Brown won the 100 in 11.53 and the 200 in 23.55 to lead his team to first place in the seven-team meet. Babis Bell won the 1,600 in 5:18.00. Cornerstone Christian finished with 98 points.

Kyle McCarthy had eight kills, six digs and six consective aces in game four. Justin Hafen and Bryan Kitagawa both had 15 assists. Hueneme Alex Maharg had 10 kills and six blocks. Bobby Martinez added 22 assists and nine kills. Jose Guillen had 19 kills and 15 digs.
