Golub resigns as Agoura coach
Kenny Golub announced his resignation as the girls' varsity basketball coach at Agoura High to take a position as an assistant coach at Cal Lutheran.
Golub was a member of the Agoura basketball staff for four years, and spent one season as the varsity coach. The Chargers reached the CIF-Southern Section playoffs last season.
Agoura is accepting applications to fill Golub's position. Anyone interested in applying should contact Athletic Director Jason Rosenthal at 818-889-1262 or by email at AHSathletics@aol.com.
Agoura also has openings for a girls' varsity volleyball coach and a girls' varsity tennis coach.
Youth baseball
Scioscia hosts clinic
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim manager Mike Scioscia is hosting a youth baseball clinic on Saturday at Conejo Creek Ballpark in Thousand Oaks.
The clinic is free and open to the public. It will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Scioscia will be joined by Angels players Reggie Willits and Erick Aybar, Angels hitting coach Mickey Hatcher and Angels radio broadcasters Rory Markas and Jose Mota.
