Negrete charged with three murders

More from Other NewsAmid tight security, Rudolfo Negrete was formally charged in a Ventura County courtroom this morning with murdering Daniel Campos, Alex Jordan and Cynthia Jordan outside Camarillo in 2004.
Negrete, who arrived in Ventura County on Wednesday after being extradited from Mexico, was scheduled to be arraigned today. His arraignment was postponed until May 11, but Senior Deputy District Attorney Cheryl Temple served him with an indictment after she asked him his name and birth date.
The charges against Negrete include three counts of murder, committing a crime for the benefit of a criminal street gang the South Side Chiques and committing a murder during a robbery, Temple said.
Negrete allegedly demanded money from Alex Jordan before killing the Taft couple.
The victims' families assembled in the courthouse this morning, but the proceedings were over so fast that they missed it.
Negrete, 25, is a former Oxnard resident and a Mexican national. He was arrested in Acapulco in 2006 by Mexican authorities acting on information from the U.S. Marshal's Service.

Shouldn't it be FOUR murders? I believe Cynthia Jordan was pregnant at the time of her death.
