Highway 34 in Camarillo closed after crash

A section of Highway 34 in Camarillo was closed late this morning after a car crashed into a Southern California Edison power pole, the Ventura County Fire Department reported.

The accident was reported at 11:24 a.m. At that time, power lines were blocking the highway at Upland Road. All lanes were still closed from Highway 118 to Upland Road at 1:08 p.m. The lanes will be closed until 2 p.m. or 3 p.m., officials said.

An ambulance responded to the scene, but no further details were immediately available this morning.
