Morning outage affects 76 Simi Valley homes
Seventy-six Southern California Edison customers in Simi Valley lost power this morning when bad underground cables caused a circuit lockout, Edison officials said.
The outage began at 5:29 a.m., and power was still off to the small section of Simi Valley near Highway 118 at 8:40 a.m., said Anna Frutos-Sanchez, Edison's regional manager for east Ventura County.
The homes without power are on Cochran Street, Gayle Place, Marissa Place and Hawk Street near Highway 118, Frutos-Sanchez said.
Crews were on their way to the scene at 8:40 a.m., and Frutos-Sanchez said she expected power to be restored by about 9:10 a.m.
