Morning Report: Police arrest forgetful burglary suspect

Police and Fire: Oxnard police arrested this morning the man they identified as a burglary suspect after he left his jacket at a store on Magnolia Avenue Tuesday, said Sgt. Steve Moore.

Jose Antonio Orozco was arrested on the 1500 block of 5th Street about 1:50 a.m., Moore said.

Orozco is facing burglary charges.

Traffic: At 7:05 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was reporting a traffic hazard in lanes on Highway 23 southbound just south of Janss Road in Thousand Oaks.

Weather: Mostly sunny and windy conditions are expected today, the National Weather Service reported.

High temperatures will reach into the 70s in inland valleys, according to weather service predictions.

Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour are expected in Ventura County mountains today. A high wind warning is in effect through 3 p.m. Thursday.
