Morning Report: Alleged burglar identified by jacket left at crime scene
Police and Fire: Oxnard police are searching for a man who allegedly burglarized several businesses near Oxnard Boulevard early this morning and left his jacket at one of them, said Cmdr. Steve Blanchard.
Police identified the suspect from paperwork in the jacket they believe he left after allegedly burglarizing one business, confirmed his identity with surveillance video and obtained a warrant for his arrest, Blanchard said.
Police did not release additional details this morning.
Traffic: At 7:09 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was not reporting any traffic accidents or hazards on county roadways.
Weather: After morning clouds and fog, today is expected to be mostly sunny and breezy with high temperatures in the 60s, the National Weather Service reported.
Mariners should watch out for gale force winds predicted over waters off the Ventura County coast.
