Throwing Hollywood a curve

She may drop a few pounds here and there, but "Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera says she'll never become a Hollywood waif.

"There are times when I go to the gym and really try, and there are times when I just don't," the actress, who turns 23 Wednesday, told W magazine in its May issue. "I gain a pound; I lose a pound. But I think I've developed a really good sense of when I'm doing something for myself as opposed to when I'm doing something because of other people's expectations of me. And honestly, even if I wanted to be anorexic, I just don't have what it takes," she said. "After four hours of being anorexic, I'd be like, 'It's been four whole hours! Feed me!'"

Ferrera is on the rise: She won Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards this year for her role as awkward assistant Betty Suarez on "Ugly Betty" and appeared on a host of magazine covers.

Fabolous-ness delayed

Fabolous has once again reset the release date for his Def Jam debut, "From Nothin' To Somethin'." The album is now due June 12. It was originally expected before the end of 2006, then pushed to February and most recently to March 27.

In the interim, the Brooklyn rapper is servicing his second single, "Make Me Better," produced by Timbaland and featuring label mate Ne-Yo, to radio.

Fabolous was previously signed to Elektra and Atlantic. He hasn't released a studio album since 2004's "Real Talk," which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single "Breathe." The track reached No. 2 on Hot Rap Tracks and No. 10 on the Hot 100.

Meanwhile

Latin star Enrique Iglesias also has set a June 12 release for his next CD.

"Insomniac" is Iglesias' first Interscope album since 2003's "7." First single "Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)," which was written by Sean Garrett, was set to hit U.S. radio outlets Monday.

Iglesias will reintroduce himself via a May 7 guest spot on the TV comedy "Two and a Half Men," a May 15 appearance on "Dancing With the Stars" and a June 15 performance on NBC's "Today." In addition, he will perform at a city to be announced as part of the Live Earth concert July 7.
