Woman trying to retrieve stolen purse is dragged by car

Police are searching for three people involved in a robbery Sunday in Simi Valley that resulted in a woman being dragged by a car and suffering minor injuries.

Her purse was stolen at 12:34 p.m. from her shopping cart outside Wal-Mart at 255 Cochran St., according to the Simi Valley Police Department.

When police arrived, the 51-year-old Simi Valley resident told them she had just finished shopping when a man grabbed the purse and ran to a white Honda Civic in which a man and a woman were waiting.

Authorities said the victim chased the robber, reached into the open window of the car and grabbed her purse. Hanging on the window as the car drove off, she was dragged about 20 feet until she released her grip.

According to police, the robber got away with approximately $288. Anyone with information is asked to contact Simi Valley Police detectives at 583-6950.

Ugh this kind of thing makes me sick... How anybody could do that to another person is just so disgusting and evil.
