TRIATHLON

LaVigna Breath of Life returns on June 24

The ninth annual Dina LaVigna Breath of Life Triathlon/Relay is returning to Ventura on June 24. This USA Triathlon-endorsed event will be held at the San Buenaventura State Beach. Start time is 7:15 a.m. with sprint and Olympic distances, plus a junior elite Olympic course.

Proceeds from the event will go to the children's health center at UCLA. LaVigna, a graduate of Camarillo High and UCLA, lost her life at 33 from primary immunodeficiency, a genetic disease. The triathlon honors her memory and helps those diagnosed with the same illness.
