That's a show, the Disney way
Disneyland Marching Band
Since opening day, the Disneyland Marching Band has played more than 52,000 hours of music and marched almost 12,000 miles, which is four times the distance from San Francisco to New York City. The band was to play for a two-week engagement when Disneyland opened but proved so popular it's been "held over" for 50 years.
Most popular Disney parade
The Main Street Electrical Parade, the most popular pageant ever presented at Disneyland, was performed more than 3,600 times for more than 75 million guests during a 24-year run from June 1972 to November 1996. In July 2001, the cavalcade returned to the Disneyland Resort as Disney's Electrical Parade and has since been presented more than 620 times at Disney's California Adventure.
Tinker Bell ignites the skies
The "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks first appeared above the park in 1956. In 1961, Tinker Bell joined the spectacle and began her nightly flights to ignite the pyrotechnics. "Tink" flew above the park more than 3,200 times during the show's 45-year run. In 2005, Tinker Bell returned to the skies over Fantasyland in an all-new incarnation, featuring an amazing new flight path.
