State of emergency

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency for Ventura County on Wednesday.
  • The county is now eligible to receive up to 75 percent reimbursement from the federal government for flood-related damages.
  • The state and the county will share the remaining 25 percent, though who pays what is undetermined.
  • Schwarzenegger is asking the president to declare a federal state of emergency for the county.
