Donna Hay, the magazine: In addition to her cookbook titles, Hay in 2001 began publishing a bimonthly magazine in conjunction with News Corp., a branch of the Rupert Murdoch media empire. Available in the magazine sections of Barnes & Noble and Borders Books, the magazine features the same minimalist photography and recipes as the cookbooks but for American readers it can take some getting used to: Thanks to seasonal differences brought on by Australia's opposite-hemisphere location, the current March/April issue is devoted to the foods and moods not of spring but autumn.
