Shannah Biondine

Shannah Biondine is a native of Southern California, and lives in Simi Valley with her husband and two teenagers. The family's pets include two Golden Retrievers, a Newfoundland/Great Pyreness crossbreed, and grumpy calico cat (who rules the entire household).

Before turning to fiction, Shannah was a business writer and publisher's assistant for a national trade magazine. She now writes full time. Her interests include tarot, creative visualization, needlecrafts, astrology, and avid fiction reading.

"I got lost in public as a small child only once," Shannah admits. "And that was in a large retail store. After about ten minutes of frantically searching aisles and notifying the store staff, my mother asked herself where I'd be most likely to go. She found me in the Book department, one children's volume spread open across my lap and a TBR pile on the floor next to me. Even then, one book wasn't enough."

Shannah's the author of numerous works of fiction, from traditional historical romance to paranormal romances, and two novellas of fantasy. She's published with LTDBooks, Double Dragon Publishing, and Whiskey Creek Press. She's currently working on two paranormal romances due out in 2005 for Double Dragon, which will feature guardian angels meddling in human affairs in Silver City, Idaho, during its boomtown days in the Old West.

She won the 2002 Eppie for Best Fantasy/Paranormal Romance, and has seen her works final in the prestigious PRISM and Dream Realm Awards.
