Saul A. Chavez

Lance Cpl. Saul A. Chavez, USMC, 22, of Oxnard was deployed in January to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In an email to his mother, he says, "I'm telling you, Mom, the military gives the word friendship a whole new meaning because I don't think I'm ever going to meet people like that again."
