Like many, she's a little nervous about living away from home and managing things like money and laundry on her own.</p>

<p>Michelle, however, is 13 years old and hasn't even started high school.</p>

<p>The Agoura Hills girl will attend Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va., where she will join the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted. <p>But once in class, she will have the same opportunities to learn as her classmates, now that an alternative-text production center in Ventura has transcribed her books and materials into Braille and tactile graphics.</p>
