Want to set up a blog? Here’s a step by step instructions on how to get started:
1) Register your e-mail address with the VenturaCountyStar.com site. You will use your e-mail as your log in information for your blog.
2) Click “become a blogger” on the right site of any YourNews page. You’ll enter in your name and e-mail address and why you want to start a blog. This information will be sent to the YourNews staff for approval. Once you’re approved, we'll send you an email to confirm. Then, you'll be ready to get started.
3) Visit http://www.venturacountystar.com/blogs/admin and enter in your e-mail information and the password that you use to sign into the VenturaCountyStar.com site.
4) You’ll see your name and a few options underneath.
5) Click “Add and entry” to start blogging.
6) Enter in a headline, a slug, a quick summary of your blog and then blog away in the "entry" form.
7) Change status to "live"
8) Click "Add this entry"
