for over ten years i've been using cruise control locally as well as on the road. i drive both a 1996 buick park ave. and a 1995 ford 350 econoline 20' rv. both have cruise cruise control which starts at 30 mph. the buick cruise once set can be increased or decreased in 1 mile increments, which means while the eyes are on the road, one can increase or decrease speed manually. the rv cruise can increase only. most of my driving is local between 30-45 mph.once the cruise contol is set, the eyes are on the road.try it, you'll like it, and it may possibly save your life. FOR OVER TEN YEARS I'VE BEEN USING CRUISE CONTROL LOCALLY AS WELL AS ON THE ROAD. I DRIVE BOTH A 1996 BUICK PARK AVE. AND A 1995 FORD 350 ECONOLINE 20' RV. BOTH HAVE CRUISE CONTROL WHICH STARTS AT 30 MPH. MOST OF MY DRIVING IS LOCAL BETWEEN 30-45 MPH. ONCE THE CRUISE CONTROL IS SET, THE EYES CAN BE ON THE ROAD UNTIL THE SPEED LIMIT CHANGES. IF ONE IS DRIVING AT 30 MPH, AND THE LIMIT CHANGES TO 35, ALL ONE HAS TO DO IS TO MANUALLY CLICK THE INCREASE DEVICE 5 TIMES WHILE THE EYES ARE ON THE ROAD. CONVERSLY, THE SAME IS TRUE FOR DECREASING SPEED. TONIGHT WHILE RETURNING HOME, TWO POLICE CARS PASSED US WHILE CRUISING THE SPEED LIMIT TO NO AVAIL. TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT, AND IT COULD POSSIBLY SAVE YOUR LIFE.
